One of my favorite blogs: RDuJour has the entire lookbook for Valentino for Gap. All of the ruffles look amazing and the earth tones give the clothes that edge. Check it here.

Adidas Adicolor
I saw this commercial the other day for a new line of Adidas shoes. Something really captivated me about the ad, I think it was the gorgeous royal blue contrasting the bright white. Their colors are so iconic and they play up the polarity in the hues. I like the ad because I think they did a great job displaying the clothes and capturing the attention of their target audience.
I am a fan of Adidas, I have a sports watch by them and I have never gotten more complements than I have with this watch. I also am a huge advocate and admirer of Jeremy Scott for Adidas. Jeremy is one of my top three favorite designers hands down. His collabs with Adidas and Longchamp are iconic and pure artistry.
Boutiques
Google has just launched Boutiques, a website that maximizes your personal style and aids you in making online purchases that aligns with your fashion sense. The site launched this week and is already pioneered by celebs and even fellow blogger and major fashion inspiration Jane Aldridge. The concept is thus: You take a 20 question quiz to help the website define your style from there it pegs you anywhere from Boho to Romantic to Edgy and so on. Boutiques is then linked to every retailer you can imagine and they pull items from all over that fit your style and put them in your “boutique.” You can shop, “love” and “hate” items, follow other’s and generally explore online stores.
I am still working on mine, and have been investigating and playing on the site for the past few days. I feel like there is more I can get out of it rather than ideas for my Christmas list, but we’ll see. It has helped me come up with a few outfit ideas based on the pieces I have seen for sale.

Emma Watson and Alberta Feretti join to make clothing line
The Cut covers it here.
Nylon!
Being a Gap employee I immediately recognized this skirt Evan Rachel Wood is wearing on the November cover of Nylon. I saw her skirt and thought to myself “this looks like the gorgeous deep yellow silk skirt the Gap has right now,” and much to my surprise it was exactly the one. I am not sure how they made her fit into the skirt, because lately I have found the clothing at the Gap are not running true to size. In fact, the store is giving me and I am sure many other women, some kind of confidence boost. Everything is big, so if I have trouble wearing a size 0 skirt, there is no way Evan Rachel is fitting into it either. I hate to say it, but I wonder if they had to clip it in the back; she is so tiny. But regardless, she looks amazing, her hair stands out –being such a vibrant red. Be sure to check the Gap’s winter line, it’s actually gorgeous and in my opinion Patrick Robinson is really stepping up his game. You can buy the skirt featured on the cover here.
Alexander Wang Dream Bag
I saw this bag the other day when I was at the Barney’s Co-Op. It is beautifully crafted and looks so durable (which is a great quality especially for spending around $850 for it). I am absolutely in love with this piece. It is such a great color as well, cognac is a perfect neutral for fall and spring. Every woman needs a brown bag and if I had unlimited funds this would be the one I purchase.
Lanvin for H&M
The Lanvin for H&M line was revealed yesterday, November 2, and will be hitting stores Noveber 20th. The price range for the womenswear is $19.99-$200+ which is a little more than I expected. Most of the dresses are $199 which, I hate to say it, I think are overpriced. I understand that Lanvin clothes normally run into the thousands but it made me a bit upset being on a college budget and whatnot. I certainly won’t be purchasing a dress, maybe if I am extra good and work over time this holiday, I will allow myself to purchase the ruffle skirt that is $59.99. The collection overall looks absolutely gorgeous, it’s just disheartening to see such high price points. The draping and unique shapes are stunning and will be a great promotion for H&M. I don’t know how the company scored H&M but they did well.

Emma vs. Brittany
For UGAstyle’s “About Me” section we chose a style icon to imitate. I previously wanted to use Emma Watson’s Teen Vogue photo shoot that I am obsessed with but unfortunately our fashion director wanted everyone to use a photo with a white background. I used the image below to re-create, and here are a few ‘behind the scenes’ shots of the photoshoot! I can’t wait to see how they turn out.
