It’s no secret that I love Jeremy Scott. He’s always been one of my favorite designers and now that he’s the Creative Director of Moschino, the house is another platform where we can see his work. His latest collection (Spring 2015 RTW) for Moschino showed last week in Milan. In true Jeremy Scott fashion, this collection was exciting, campy and a snap-shot of pop culture.  After taking on McDonald’s last season, this collection was inspired by Barbie herself.

I am so in love with this collection, everything from the signature pink color to the models’ blonde wigs —the looks were perfectly Barbie. I’ve featured some of my favorite looks below:

You can purchase the collection on Moschino.com or OpeningCeremony.com, let’s hear it for e-commerce! Here are some of my favorite items from the line! Aren’t they cute?

Vogue Jan 2013

Gwen Stefani looks perfect on the January 2013 cover of Vogue. She’s styled in Saint Laurent Paris, which also makes it’s Vogue cover debut. Gwen’s witchy hat, sparkly golden jacket, and bow tie blouse are truly rock chic. I love that Vogue is accepting the Saint Laurent collection. As we all know, their stamp of approval carries a heavy weight throughout the fashion community. It’s nice to see the clothes on a real person too, not just a 5’11, 100lb girl that is 1 in a billion. Gwen wears the clothes like she was born to. Nice job Vogue.

My Week With Marilyn

In light of my recent Grace Kelly post, I figured it would only be right to recognize another style icon of sorts –Marilyn Monroe. I have always liked Marilyn, in fact I can pin point it to the first time I ever saw a Warhol print of her. For my 16th birthday one of my friends got me a poster of the pink Marilyn face, 6 years later and it’s still in my room. But my feelings aside, when I heard that Michelle Williams was going to play Marilyn I was ecstatic. And then I saw the Vogue cover and it was absolutely surreal. They make Michelle look just like Marilyn and I know that she is probably the best actress out there for the part. Even though Marilyn’s life was tragic underneath the glamour, I think a lot of people, including myself, are fascinated by her. I am eager for the movie and hope that it’ll be a success for both Michelle and Marilyn.
