Where Toronto Magazine
This is the magazine I write for in a digital version! I am so excited for this to be in print and on the internet. Click the beautiful cover to take you to the digital magazine. I worked really hard on these pieces and I am very proud to be a part of it.
Rupert Grint and Tom Felton for Band of Outsiders
I am a big fan of Band of Outsiders. Celebrity spokespeople seem to be all the rage for them; Kirsten Dunst was the face of the first women’s campaign (as their women’s line is quite new). Their clothes are very basic looking, minimal at best, with stains of the 90s. Rupert and Tom look amazing, and most importantly they don’t look like Ron and Draco. They look like the gangly, grungy models I am used to seeing in a Ban of Outsiders campaign. It works. See the rest of the photos here.

It-Girl Alexa Chung presents her second collection for J.Crew’s sister company Madewell. 
Loving this charcoal grey agora sweater.
The lace shirt is amazing and clearly a staple from the spring/summer that will be carried into the fall.

Inspiration
I believe this is from shopnastygal.com but I found it on tumblr. I adore the crop top sweatshirt, it reminds me of Helmut Lang or Alexander Wang. The structure to the colour is absolutely on point. It goes really well with the also structured looking black skirt. The pleats complete this schoolgirl gone rogue outfit.
VMAs
Since I really didn’t like anyone’s outfit in particular at last night’s VMAs, I chose to highlight Emma Roberts’s after party dress. She’s wearing a black Alice + Olivia dress, darkened her hair a bit and complemented with dark lips. She is very “Romantically Edgy”.
Day of Magazines
When I walked into work today, I thought “today might be the day….the day I see my writing in actual print.” And it is! Today was a very exciting day because the September issue of Where Toronto magazine is out, and I’m published in it. This is a huge milestone for me and I hope to keep getting better and get more things published. I will be in the next 4 issues as well as another magazine that we were chartered to create called SkyLife. The September issue should be online in a few days, so I’ll post a link and better pictures then. For now you’ll just have to deal with my shameless promotion:

Aside from my amazing publication, on the way back from lunch I FINALLY picked up the September issue of W. There must have been some kind of delay in shipping or printing because this is literally the first week it was on newsstands. I checked almost every day for the magazine. I think Kristen Stewart looks so amazing on the cover, amazing enough for me to purchase the magazine. I love W but I don’t usually buy it for whatever reason (I’m more of a Nylon girl, shhh don’t tell). Anyways, that was my day. I’m going to go read W now.
P.S. In case anyone was wondering, I wore the outfit I previously posted about. I think it was a success.
