Wicked Set

How cool is this: for the 10th Anniversary of Wicked, Deborah Lippmann has created a Wicked Set. A trio of Oz-inspired mini lacquers: Defying Gravity (Elphaba’s unlimited green), Popular (Glinda’s glistening pink), and One Short Day (positively perfect emerald).

This Weekend’s Beauty Haul

The Haul:
1. Anastasia Brow Pen in Universal Light
2. NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Biscayne Park
3. Deborah Lippmann mini in Happy Birthday
4. Maybelline The Colossal Cat Eyes
5. Living Proof Satin Hair Serum

I have been wanting this color since the new NARS Satin range came out. Do you ever feel drawn to a name, or compelled to buy a product simply because the name is too good not to buy? Biscayne Park is all of the above to me. But then again, NARS always has the best product names. I love this color its a very natural peachy/nude on me.

I’ve been struggling in the eyebrow department lately. I feel like the base of my eyebrows are so thin and I’m not sure why. I have both the Anastasia brow wax and the Brow Wiz and use them alternately. The Brow Wiz is not my favorite and it actually hurts to drag the pigment across my eyebrows. So I found this Brow Pen which is actually a marker, and you draw the color on your brow. It goes on a lot smoother and you can use a brow brush to spread out the color. The only problem I have is that I personally can get a bit heavy handed with the marker. You can’t let yourself go crazy with it or you’ll end up looking like they’re tattooed on.  Just a word of advice.

Coveting Beauty

I’ve been surfing the internet a lot lately for new beauty products. Here are a few that I’m obsessing over:

Essie “Boom Boom Room”

This color is from the Spring 2013 collection, and has the best name of the bunch. Even outside of NYC, Boom Boom Room is an amazing name. And for those of us lucky enough to have been to the real Boom Boom Room well, we know how awesome it really is.

MAC RiRi Woo

Available exclusively online and on her tour, RiRi Woo is a twist on MAC favorite Ruby Woo. It’s supposedly Rihanna’s favorite shade and who better to collaborate with than the creator’s of your choice lipstick?!

Deborah Lippmann Mermaid Collection

I have an embarrassing inside joke with my friends about mermaids. Short version: I think they are cool. So the fact that DL took inspiration from the creatures is so awesome. I’ve got my eye on the blue color “Mermaid’s Eyes.”

Girls x Deborah Lippmann

Confession: I am obsessed with GIRLS on HBO. Lena Dunham is brilliant. And I love everything about the show.

Ok, there I said it. GIRLS is my everything. Today, on an unexpected trip to Nordstrom, I casually wandered towards the beauty department and came across the Deborah Lippmann x Girls box set. I immediately texted my friend for her reassurance in that I absolutely HAD to have the entire set. To be honest, I didn’t need her opinion, I knew I was going to purchase the set the moment I saw it actually existed. I remember hearing about the collaboration but not that their would be a box set! I do think you can buy the colors individually, I believe I saw them a few weeks ago at Bloomingdales.

This is my first Deborah Lippmann purchase and I’m excited to try out the formula. The colors are as follows:

Hannah-muted green

Marnie- baby pink

Shoshannah- violet

The set retails for $45, you can buy it here
