Life Inspiration

Emma Watson, also known as Hermione Granger and the face of Burberry, is my style inspiration. She is absolutely gorgeous and I adore her style and confidence in her outfits. I am a contributing writer for a fashion blog for my university called The Campus Style, and we are planning on doing a photoshoot for the writers in which we mimic our style icon in a photo shoot. I plan on using this picture of Emma, it’s from my favorite Teen Vogue issue featuring Emma on the cover. The editorial is stunning, the clothes consist of richly colored statins, tights, and a great pair of leather boots.  Enjoy!

Meat Market

If there was one fashion show that I could go to it would be Jeremy Scott’s show. He showed today at 1pm and the show also streamed live via Milk studios over his website. Images are hard to come by, as of yet. Nylon Magazine has already written a review and has posted a few of the looks, however I am very excited to see the complete collection. And to top off my jealousy of not being there, style icon Kelly Osbourne and the Louis Vuitton don/rap mogul Kanye West were sitting next to each other on the front row.

BookMarc

Marc Jacobs is opening another accessories boutique in SoHo, and this time he’s gotten clever. It’s witty and crafty and it’s called Bookmarc. Could we imagine anything else from him? The store will sell school supplies which were previously sold in Marc by Marc Jacobs boutiques.

I absolutely love this blog. It makes me feel like I am connected to my hometown. It’s full of Canadian street style, art, music and more. When I read it, I am proud to say this blog is about my town. I love Toronto and this blog is made by people who love the city just as much as I do.

Charlotte Ronson

Charlotte Ronson’s S/S ’11 collection follows the color trends of nuetrals (whites, topes, yellows, browns), coral-reds, blacks and blues. The presence of creative blue plaid in her collection surprised me, but it’s done in a way which adds lightness and balance to the outfit. There is also a bit of florals which have a fall essence to them, giving those looks the impression of a cool spring day, drawing on the dusky colors of the print. There is also room for some sheer fabrics in the Spring and Ronson creates a few looks incorporating this trend. The black dress pictured below is feminine and flowy, incorporating gold and coral red meshing with the collection. I especially am intrigues by the stockings and sandals, especially for a spring look. Refreshing, in that crisp, fall kind in spring way.
