Chloé Spring 2011 RTW

The Chloe collection is amazing. It appears to be very simple and minimalistic but upon further examination you’ll see the beauty and elegance. The collection is soft featuring whites, nudes, reds and the occasional earth-tone. I am in love with the sheer tulle skirts, and dresses. The draping is very precise and makes for a gorgeous shape (see dress below). Once again the pieces are definitely worth a second look, and surprised me in a good way.

New Luxe Vans

I saw these at Selfridges when I was in London this summer. I regret not getting them. They were 45 pounds and that pretty much equates to their American price of 65 dollars. I think they are the perfect mix between old oxford style and retro Barbie. I am a sucker for the hot pink trim, I think it’s a really eye catching detail. If I find them I will be purchasing them, no question. Can you believe they are Vans?

Moschino s/s ’11

The Moschino show was September 24 in Milan. The collection seems to draw inspiration from Texas/Americana, it’s over the top and yet gorgeously elegant. This is my absolute favorite piece from the show: it features a very full striped skirt that reminds me of the American flag, with a corset-esque top.

Life Inspiration

Emma Watson, also known as Hermione Granger and the face of Burberry, is my style inspiration. She is absolutely gorgeous and I adore her style and confidence in her outfits. I am a contributing writer for a fashion blog for my university called The Campus Style, and we are planning on doing a photoshoot for the writers in which we mimic our style icon in a photo shoot. I plan on using this picture of Emma, it’s from my favorite Teen Vogue issue featuring Emma on the cover. The editorial is stunning, the clothes consist of richly colored statins, tights, and a great pair of leather boots.  Enjoy!

Meat Market

If there was one fashion show that I could go to it would be Jeremy Scott’s show. He showed today at 1pm and the show also streamed live via Milk studios over his website. Images are hard to come by, as of yet. Nylon Magazine has already written a review and has posted a few of the looks, however I am very excited to see the complete collection. And to top off my jealousy of not being there, style icon Kelly Osbourne and the Louis Vuitton don/rap mogul Kanye West were sitting next to each other on the front row.
