Elie Saab Spring 2012 Couture

So far Elie Saab is my favorite couture collection for 2012. The colors are icy pastels: white, mint green, peach, nude, yellow, blue and pink. This collection is light and airy, and most notably sheer. After looking at some of the other couture collections it looks like sheer fabrics are still very popular amongst this spring’s couturiers. Here are my favorites from the Elie Saab collection:

Hot Trend: Printed Blouses

Here are 3 amazing printed blouses that are right on trend for this winter. Even though I am an advocate of solids and plaids, printed blouses can be a great statement piece for winter. It’s a perfect way to add color to your wardrobe in those grey cold months. They look great with dark denim, or a solid colored skirt (try american apparel).

Pops of Color

Pops of Color, or POC’s, have been making quite a splash recently with brightly colored socks, belts & other accessories to make every day ensembles a little more exciting. Versace’s newest Fall/Winter ’12/’13 is taking POC’s to the next level by introducing us to colored fur accents with colored fur lapels and scarfs. Check out these hot accents straight from Milan.

Golden Globes 2012

Here are my absolute favourites from last night’s Golden Globes, in no particular order:

Evan Rachel Wood in Gucci Premiere (NARS make-up)

Emma Stone in Lanvin (reportedly, it’s custom made)

Nicole Kidman in Versace

Charlize Theron in Dior

Marchesa Resort ’12

Someone wore this last night to the Golden Globes. It was a woman sitting at the table for The Artist. I’m so in love with this Grecian style Marchesa gown. Olivia Wilde wore something similar (if not this dress) to the Toronto International Film Festival.

Diana Agron covers Nylon Jan/Feb

Glee star Diana Agron looks positively mod on the January cover of Nylon magazine. As an avid reader of the magazine, i think their styling team worked their magic on Diana and transformed her into a Nylon girl. She looks so much like Twiggy  from the hair to the eyes and 60s-chic clothes. The second photo is my favorite outfit that she wears hence why it is included in my post. I’m not sure of all the designers she’s wearing; however, I know the shoes are by Jeremy Scott. He’s a favorite designer amongst Nylon photoshoots.
